Create files with our graphic designers. If you are creating your own design, please follow these important steps before bringing a file for printing.

Step 1

Create your document and bring the files to Corporate Printing Services on diskette, zip disk, or CD. (Better yet, E-mail the file directly to us and we can have proofs e-mailed back before we print.) Make sure you provide all images, graphics and fonts used in the document.

It’s best to keep all related files on the same disk. This makes it much easier to ensure proper graphic linking and output.

Helpful Hint: If you do not know how to transfer fonts, take a look at this illustration showing where the font folder is in Windows. Click on the font you want to move—drag and drop it to the desired location, and you’ve now copied your font.

Step 2

Get high-resolution scans of all photographs or illustrations. Of course, we can create high resolution scans for you. Just bring in the photographs or graphics and we’ll produce a scan at the necessary resolution.

Helpful Hints: For best results, scanned images should be saved in the .eps format. This format provides a more consistent tonal reproduction than the .tif format.

Step 3

Once you have the high-resolution scanned images, simply create the file at the size you will want it printed at. For oversized images, prepare the files as a normal letter-size (8 1/2" x 11") document, and we will enlarge the file to the desired size during printing.
